Classes resume this Thursday at UCA!
We’re excited to have our students back on campus for a new semester. With each new semester come brand new opportunities to reach out, connect, and serve.
Case in point, next Tuesday (Jan. 16th) we’ll be at UCA passing out fliers. Since Pulse is still new to campus, we want to make sure as many students as possible hear about what we’re doing. Thursday (Jan. 18th) we’re doing the exact same thing at Hendrix (more on that later).
There’s a lot to look forward to this semester. As the semester begins, here are a few things you can be praying for.
Next week we’ll be passing out fliers at UCA and Hendrix. I’m especially excited about the latter. Since we didn't establish a presence at Hendrix last semester, we’re holding an interest meeting on campus the night of Jan. 18th to invite students to be part of something new and exciting. By emphasizing our newness, the goal is to engage a handful of curious students who might not otherwise seek out a campus ministry.
This is a new strategy for me. It might work, or it might not – there’s no way to know. I pray that, if success is what we need, God will help us to succeed. Ask God to help us reach new students this semester at both UCA and Hendrix.
I’ve mentioned leadership several times before, but only because I believe so strongly in empowering students. God has blessed Pulse with gifted and faithful students. This semester all our students will have more opportunities to contribute to the ministry.
Pray that this semester will be meaningful for our students, that it will shape their hearts for mission, and that it will encourage them to continually use their gifts for the glory of God.
Each of our students is a leader in his or her own way. God has gifted them uniquely and purposefully to serve in his kingdom. In any ministry, but especially one as small as ours, every person matters.
Our prayer for this semester is that each of our students would become more like Jesus.
