Semester Recap: Fall 2017
Our semester officially began on August 23rd with "Conway Daze," a fair during UCA Freshman Orientation. This was our first chance to meet students. We had high hopes for the event - it didn't disappoint!
The following Sunday (Aug. 27th) was Welcome Sunday at University Church. Over a dozen students came to our events that day, a great way to kick off the semester!
Our first Pulse was on August 29th. Each Tuesday night we’ve shared a meal together, followed by an activity, discussion, or service project – all centered on building a fun and caring spiritual community. The pictures above are from various Tuesday nights throughout the Fall.
The rest of the fall was packed with exciting events:
Every Sunday we've gathered for worship at University Church of Christ. One of the most rewarding parts of this semester has been seeing the members of UCC rally behind the campus ministry. For the first time in 8 years, members regularly see college students at worship. People have offered their houses, time, and resources to support this ministry. It’s an incredible testament to the power of the local church.
With finals approaching, we prepared to say goodbye to some of our graduate students. On Dec. 5th our grad students shared insights from their own college experiences, and on Dec. 12th we hosted our final Pulse of the semester.
